Back in August, we told you about the Thirsty Monk’s plans to brew more beers with the intention of serving them up at the Thirsty Monk Pubs on a more regular schedule. In the past few months, beers have been rolling out (mostly at the Biltmore and Reynolds locations), and this week, head brewer Norm Penn offers up a new stout that’s inspired by the King himself….or at least one of his favorite snacks (Wikipedia may have jumped the shark with that entry).
Brewed with a whopping 9 malts, the Belgian Elvis Peanut Butter Stout is blended using the Monk’s special Belgian yeast, supplemented with a whole lot of peanut butter and aged on peanuts, this robust stout packs a punch of flavor. Distinctive nutty and banana notes give way to a medium to full body, complex with rich layers of peanut butter, ripe bananas and a well-rounded roasted chocolate finish.
$8 gets you an 8oz pour and a Pint of Bacon…you’ll have to bring your own bread.
