If you’re looking for a family friendly Halloween activity that isn’t boring for the kids or frighten them to death with the gore and horror-movie inspired scenes from your typical haunted houses, then there’s an event at Highland Brewing this week that just might be for you.
Check out The Haunted Trail, presented by H&A Productions LLC, at Highland Brewing Company from October 27-30. The Haunted Trail offers a fun evening by starting out with a walk through the dark woods (which can be a scary experience all by itself), where you’ll be greeted by witches, classic movie-era monsters, and an assortment of other ghost and ghouls. Each scene is contained behind a barrier so patrons can enjoy the spooky sights or pass on by if the scene is too scary. After you and your kids are are suitably scared and entertained on the trail part of the evening’s activities, guests will end their trek at the Dead Man’s Party in the meadow behind Highland Brewing Co.
The Dead Man’s Party welcomes trail-goers with Halloween crafts, local food trucks and amusing, super-sized games and (the real treat for mom and dad) Highland beer on tap in the meadow. The Dead Man’s Party can also entertain the littlest spooks while braver family members explore the trail.
For Mom and Dad’s Trick or Treats, Highland will be tapping a new beer, “Pumpkin On The Ledge” a pumpkin brown ale that’s well-balanced and subtly spiced with molasses, ginger, cinnamon and all spice.
General Admission tickets are $10 each and $8 for children ages 4-8 if you buy online. If you weight and buy tickets at the gate expect to pay $2 more.
