This Friday is International Stout Day and the Asheville Ale Trail wants to hear from you! To celebrate this auspicious occasion, we’re asking the people who know best (i.e. you) to tell us who’s brewing the best stouts in (and around) Asheville.
For Stout Day, the Asheville Ale Trail wants to see some pictures of YOU enjoying your favorite locally brewed stouts. Post pictures to Twitter or Instagram using the #AVLAleTrail tag along with #StoutDay and your pictures will show up on our website. We’ll also pick our favorite Instagram Pic or Tweet from the day using these two tags and some lucky reader will be gettin’ some cool brewery swag. We’ll also be hitting the trail on Friday, out in search of the best places to enjoy WNC’s best stouts. Follow us on any of our social media channels (facebook, Twitter, Google+) to get the latest stout day events and info.
Once the votes are tallied The Asheville Ale Trail will be presenting a first of it’s kind followup tasting event with the top contenders where we will officially crown Asheville’s Favorite stout for 2013. For this event, the Asheville Ale Trail has partnered with Cliff Mori, certified Cicerone and owner of Brew-Ed, a local Asheville brewery tour and beer education program, to help select our list of stouts this year. Cliff will also be assisting with our tasting event later in the month and helping us learn a little more about these rich and delicious brews.
Voting has already started, and ends November 7th at Midnight. We’ll announce the results of our poll on November 8th (Stout day) and our Stout tasting event is scheduled for Thursday, November 14th from 6-8pm.
So let’s not waste any more time; head over to the Asheville Ale Trail’s Contests section and tell us your favorite local stout!
