A few weeks ago, The Thirsty Monk celebrated the grand opening of a new location in Biltmore Park.  Located at Two Town Square, Suite 170, the new Monk Pub continues the Thirsty Monk tradition of serving top quality beers from around the world. With more than 40 taps (and plenty of Belgian Bottles available as well), the Thirsty Monk Biltmore Park also serves up a full menu of delicious pub-styled food to satisfy their growing South Asheville fans.

This Friday, The Biltmore Monk will be celebrating International Stout Day with a special stout event in conjunction with Oskar Blues Brewing.  Serving up OB’s infamous Ten-Fidy Imperial Stout, the Monk is pulling no punches by bringing you vintage offerings of OB’s titanic, immensely viscous, boundary-stretching beer.  2011, 2012, and 2013 ‘vintages’  (is that the right word?) will all be on tap, with the 2013 brew being notable as the first Brevard brewed Fidy, so it will be interesting to compare.  Last, but certainly not least, OB is bringing the biggest of the big guns with a special Ten Fidy oh-so lovingly aged in Makers Mark barrel.

Oskar Blues glasses while supplies last. Should be a great night!
