If you’re hiking along the southern borders of the Asheville Ale Trail this weekend, you may want to check out the Greenville Craft Beer Festival. Now in it’s second year, the GCBF will be held at Fluor Field at the West End of Downtown Greenville. We’re told to expect this year’s festival to be even better than last, so get ready for Greenville’s best craft beer event!
The GCBF takes a more educational approach to their festival, offering a variety of seminars and classes throughout the afternoon. “Home Brew Basics,” “Growing Grain to Glass” (with our very own Brent Manning of River Bend Malt House leading the discussion), “Love and Hoppiness” are just a few the seminars they’ll be hosting during the festival. Festival producers have also partnered with Southyeast Labs to expand their Craft Beer Education seminars and bring you even more detailed knowledge of the world’s favorite beverage and using local yeasts. Every brewery at the festival will have a brewery representative present to give you tasting notes, tell you their story, and answer any questions you may have. And with over 35 breweries attending, you’ll have a lot of reps to talk to.
Expect to see Ale Trail favorites Catawba Brewing, Oskar Blues and Highland Brewing, along with plenty of other great regional brewers. RJ Rockers out of Spartanburg, Greenville’s Thomas Creek Brewery, and Holy City Brewing of Charelston, SC are just a few of the great breweries you’ll be able to try at the festival.
With the passing of the fall beer festival season, you may be getting a bad case of the winter blues. If your symptoms include intense cravings for craft brews and confusion over where to go for your next craft beer festival fix, then check out the Greenville Craft Beer Festival.
