The Best Firkin Beer Festival is back for a third year in a row, and after much anticipation, it’s happening this Saturday! Make no mistake, come 3pm on Saturday, we are going to be drinkin’ some Firkin Beer.
So what’s it all about? The BFBF is a pre-prohibition styled festival featuring old time music, food vendors and unique craft brews from some of the best breweries in the region. Featuring barrel aged beers and all kinds of specialty brews, this year’s festival will be bringing you some of the best firkin beer you’ve ever experienced!
Taking place at the meadow next to Pisgah Brewing Company, this festival is featuring a ridiculously good line of brewers:
- Fonta Flora
- French Broad
- Flying Dog
- Asheville Brewing
- Duck Rabbit
- Oskar Blues
- Big Boss
- New Belgium
- Sierra Nevada
- Twin Leaf
- Look Out
- Burnt Hickory
- Blowing Rock
With this many incredible brewers, you can expect a great selection of unique brews that you simply won’t find at the local pubs or even at other festivals. If you’re looking a beer festival with something a little different, then this is the place to be!
This year, a portion of the proceeds are going to benefit Wild South!, an area non-profit dedicated to forest preservation and protecting the legacy and beauty of the South. Tickets are still available over at the website, with early arrival (2pm) VIP and VVIP special access tickets. There tends to be a last minute run on tickets, and the festival is known to sell out, so we recommend you get them as soon as possible.
And don’t forget to look for the Asheville Ale Trail; we’ll be at the festival this Saturday with an Ale Trail Vendor booth so you can pick up your favorite AAT Beer Gear.
