Wedge Brewing turns 6 this weekend, and we’re all invited to the party. Wedge has been an anchor of the River Arts District since its opening, serving very much as an unofficial town hall for the RAD. A uniquely Asheville styled brewery and a favorite of locals and visitors alike, Wedge has grown steadily the last few years and has a few surprises for visitors this weekend as a way to say thanks for all the support these past 6 years.
Wedge will be tapping into one of it’s last 13.2 kegs of the infamous Golem, the highly regarded Belgian Strong Pale Ale, and a smoky Altbier that hasn’t been around for quite some time. Saturday, sometime around 8:30 pm, the summer outdoor cinema returns with the B-movie classic “Thunder Road,” the 1958 film starring Robert Mitchum that tells the story running moonshine in the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee in the late ‘50s.
