To celebrate the end of another outstanding season of outdoor music at Pisgah Brewing Company, the brewery is hosting a spectacular end-of-season celebration this Saturday, September 27th. The event is also a benefit and 25th anniversary celebration for the Asheville Ale Trail’s favorite local radio station, 88.7 WNCW.
Pisgah and WNCW will also trade help hand-in-hand with Funding America Through Entertainment (FATE) as well as Habitat For Humanity for this special occasion. The free community event will take place on Saturday, September 27th and will feature a headlining set on the Outdoor Stage from local new-grass pioneers Acoustic Syndicate. Other acts for the event will include a special set from guitar virtuoso Shane Pruitt Band and Friends, as well as an opening set from the Pisgah Brewing house band, Phuncle Sam. The event is set to be an all day celebration with the gates opening at 4pm and music starting at 5pm.
WNCW, celebrating a phenomenal 25 years of bringing Asheville the best in local, independent radio, is a true treasure of the Western North Carolina community. With their unwavering support of local and regional artists, as well as to the musical traditions of the Southern states, the nationally recognized station has been a major supporter of area musicians, local craft and regional culture during the last quarter century. As a non-profit themselves, WNCW is committed to the enhancement of community and plans to exemplify this notion with the inclusion of FATE and Habitat For Humanity. The event will help raise funds throughout the day in conjunction with WNCW to support each participating non-profits daily operations. The event has already planned a silent auction, prize raffle, some much coveted tickets to live concert events, as well as a host of other opportunities that will allow the the crowd to give back to these two great organizations.
Headlining the event will be Acoustic Syndicate, making their first stop to the Pisgah Brewing Outdoor Stage since their 20th Anniversary celebration in 2012. Like all outdoor events, food trucks will be available on site, including Root Down, Bombus, and DOGS.
Although the show is free, you can make guaranteed reservations with a donation to one of the organization via the link at the Pisgah Brewing Website: http://www.pisgahbrewing.com/shows/outdoor-stage-season-closer
