Today’s Cold Mountain Winter Ale Release Party is kinda a big deal around these parts, and this year’s event will be the biggest yet. Spread out over 4 days, Highland Brewing has brewed more Cold Mountain this year than ever before and is determined to deliver WNC’s favorite seasonal to evewryone that wants some.
Highland has put a lot of planning into this week’s events so that everyone will have a great time…here’s what you need to know:
There are major release events over the next four days. Click the link for event details on each day:
- Thursday, November 13th, 2014
- Friday, November 14th, 2014
- Saturday, Novmeber 15th, 2014
- Sunday, November 16th, 2014
Expect the parking lot to fill up quick, so we’re recommending you carpool to the event. After all, good beer is best enjoyed with friends, which is why there shouldn’t be a single empty seat in your car as you make it up to the brewery today. Expect lines and waiting in the car if you drive directly to the brewery.
Highland is also setting up a shuttle service for the event with the Asheville Brews Cruise’s Hop-n-Go Shuttle Service to transport you to and from the parking lot in front of the Bi-Lo Supermarket at Oakly Plaza (801 Fairview Rd, Asheville, NC)…the Shuttle is FREE, so all you have to do is park and ride! Still on the fence? Consider how easy that will be when you’re ready to leave…
At the brewery, Cold Mountain will be served at all three indoor bars and one outside as well (weather permitting), and there will also be special Cold Mountain Casks on tap each day (see individual days for more information). If the taproom reaches capacity (which we’re betting it will) you’ll need to dress warm, as all overflow will be directed to the meadow!
Limited amount of packaged Cold Mountain is available at the release party! 22 ounce ‘bomber’ bottles and 12 packs are available for purchase, as well as limited amounts of the distinctive blue 1 litre bottles for sale. Patron are limited to 1 one litre bottle, 1 twelve back, and 2 of the twenty two once bombers.
Plenty of food trucks available each day – check indivudual event posts (listed above) for details. For Sunday, there is a special first time Cold Mountain Brunch, but they are down to last few tickets for the event…you better hurry if you’re interested.
Have fun, be safe and enjoy the day!
