The Asheville Downtown Association hosted their Oktoberfest celebration at Pack Square Park, a new location for 2016. The park easily accommodated the festival which featured beers from 26 local, regional and national breweries, music from the Stratton Mountain Boys and a variety of games. The fun began with a parade through the park, followed by a ceremonial tapping of the first keg, but as always our favorite part was the enthusiastic crowd. Great costumes, lots of smiles, a broad selection of beer styles, and manageable beer lines made for a perfect day.

Breweries pouring at Oktoberfest 2016 included:

Asheville Brewing Company
Bhramari Brewing
Blue Ghost Brewing Company
Bold Rock Hard Cider
Catawba Brewing Company
Chateau Ste. Michelle (wine)
French Broad Brewing Company
