Oktoberfest in Asheville, North Carolina: This “Little Germany” festival mixes Bavarian traditions with Asheville’s eclectic vibe. We celebrated our local beer scene. With seasonal ales from over 20 breweries and hard cider tastings . Pair the brews with German staples like bratwurst, pretzels and traditional sides. Entertainment featured happy yodeling songs, shoe-slapping dances and lively spirited Polka music as well as classic Oktoberfest Games like the Brezel Toss (pretzel toss), Stein Hissen (stein hoist), Staffellauf (relay race) and Fass Roll (Keg Roll).
