One day at a staff meeting, the folks at Highland Brewing found the team looking for something a ‘wee bit different’ from the other area festivals. While bluegrass and other great music abounds in the Asheville music scene, the guys and gals at Highland Brewing felt like something a little more Rock & Roll would be a nice way to fill out the year. In searching for a name for the new event, they turned to Facebook to let the public decide. Once the clan had spoken, Wee Bit Louder was born.
So…the 1st annual Wee Bit Louder Festival will pump it up this Saturday with an outstanding lineup of gritty rock music: Artimus Pyle Band, Velvet Truck Stop, Stephanie’s id (that’s id…not I-D), Common Foundation, and the David Zoll Trio are all scheduled to make an appearance. As mentioned, tickets are only $8 in advance, $10 on Saturday; you’d probably pay that amount anywhere else to see just one of those bands. The first few bands in the line up will be playing in the meadow, with the last few scheduled to take the stage in the tasting room as the sun goes down, so the November chill shouldn’t be a problem. The Asheville Ale Trail recommends you get there early to stake a place out for yourself in the meadow…you won’t find a better combination of great music and great Asheville Beer this weekend!
Even though $8 tickets are great deal for this much music, how about some free tickets? We’ve got ’em…just sign up for the Asheville Ale Trail’s Weekly 6ix Pack newsletter by entering your email address (follow the link below), and we’ll give away two tickets at random from all the entries this Friday at 5 pm. We’ll email you instructions after the winner is selected. With a Wee bit of Luck, it could be you!
