This week, Sierra Nevada Brewing announced that they’re getting ready for a HUGE hiring push for the opening of Taproom and Restaurant at the Mills River Brewery. Sierra Nevada tells us they’re looking for about 150 new staff members for front-of-the-house, back-of-the-house and supervisor positions—effectively doubling the number of employees currently at the brewery.
Bill Manly, Head of Communications for the Mills River Brewery, tells us that among the positions they’re especially eager to fill are an experienced pizza cook to work their wood-fired oven and a bakery/pastry manager to oversee baked goods. The Taproom and Restaurant are expected to open to the public in the first quarter of 2015.
At the Chico, CA brewery, Sierra Nevada’s Taproom and Restaurant is a centerpiece attraction of the brewery, and the craft brewing giant plans on doing much the same for the Mills River brewery. In addition to some of the best and freshest beer in the world, Sierra Nevada plans to offer a wide variety of beer-friendly food that a focus on local, seasonal and sustainable meat and produce, sourcing many of their ingredients from an on-site organic garden and year round green house located on-site at the brewery.
