Urban Orchard Cider Company has opened a second taproom and brew-house on the South Slope of Downtown Asheville and they are hosting the “Triple Threat Throwdown” celebrating  their Fifth Year Anniversary, the Grand Opening of Urban Orchard Cider Co. South Slope and their annual Halloween Party. This will be an event not to be missed!
Their South Slope location has opened following a seven month full buildout of the 20k square feet building, previously occupied by Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), Urban Orchard has finished and plans their GrandOpening festivities for October 27th, 2018.  This growth has allowed for double the production capacity from 2017-2018.  The actual opening will be listed as October 30th to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the original location, located on Haywood Road in West Asheville, and marks them as the first cidery in Downtown Asheville.
-Debut of the outdoor stage, named for the premier sponsor and locally owned Asheville’s Fun Depot, “Asheville’s Fun Depot Stage at Urban Orchard Cider Co. South Slope”.  This stage will host six free shows in 2019 from May thru October, focusing on 4pm-8pm showtimes.  The October 27th show will feature Armadilla with Special Affair headlining.
-Fire Flights: Six Urban Orchard Craft Ciders made with chilis from Smoking J’s Fiery Foods in Candler, NC.  These spicy ciders range from Hopaleño with Citra hops and jalapeño (barely any heat at all) to Scorpion King with Scorpion peppers (Carolina Reaper) that are for the heat drink enthusiasts.
-DJ Malinalli will spin dance music for the Afterparty Dance Party from 10:30pm till 2am.
-Pregame with the Asheville Sport & Social Club in the adjacent outdoor stage lot, from 1pm till the music begins at 4pm.  A.S.S.C. will host a variety of Fall and Halloween themed games with prizes from all of your favorite Asheville businesses.
-Surprise entertainment and appearances throughout the evening
-Staff will be dressed as their favorite Urban Orchard Cider
-Costumes encouraged
